SKYWARN® was established in 1965 by the National Weather Service (NWS) to provide accurate reports from the ground by a network of volunteer weather spotters. These reports are utilized in issuing weather alerts, forecasting, and data collection.

The Lake Region Amateur Radio Club drills every 1st Wednesday of each month at 1:00 PM CST on the KØQIK 146.640 repeater.
